Meet Melissa – Rising Star at Rusa

We are delighted to introduce Melissa, a talented and passionate young stylist who has quickly become an essential part of the Rusa Hairdressing team.

Melissa began her journey in the hair industry in May 2023 at a salon in Wallasey Village. Since then, she’s dedicated herself to refining her skills and building confidence through real hands-on experience. Now cutting most styles and offering colour services, Melissa is growing steadily as a stylist. While she may take a little longer than other senior stylists, this comes from her deep desire to deliver perfection—she’s incredibly organised, focused, and detail-driven, which clients love. Many appreciate the care and time she takes to ensure they leave the salon completely happy.

At just 18, Melissa is already developing a loyal clientele and is especially excited about growing her following through our Blow Dry Club, offering unlimited blow dries for just £60 per month. It’s a perfect fit for Melissa, who has a flair for blow dries and styling and is keen to welcome new clients into her chair.

Melissa’s passion for hair started early—sparked by receiving a professional styling head and tools when she was just seven years old. She’s been hooked ever since, practising tirelessly and dreaming of one day opening her salon—a dream she is determined to turn into reality.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and their dog, going on long walks, listening to music, and catching up with friends. She’s friendly, caring, and always ready to listen, which makes her a joy to be around.

With her car and a full driving license, Melissa is committed, independent, and always on the move to grow her skills and confidence. Her journey is just beginning—but she’s already one to watch.
